Chromatic Studio is proud to announce a formal partnership with ConceptCore, a concept art education platform offering both online masterclasses and an in person curriculum. Backed by industry veterans, it’s geared towards artists who are serious about reaching the highest level.
Who is behind ConceptCore
ConceptCore was founded by Aurélien Fournier, whose background spans both the games industry and professional art education. Before launching ConceptCore, he conceived and led the Concept Art program at New3dge, where students won the Rookies School of the Year award five years in a row. ConceptCore is the result of several years of groundwork and a career spent understanding exactly what the industry expects from artists.
Today the platform has gathered a community of over 7,000 artists on Discord, with challenges, events, and activities running regularly every month. Each masterclass is built entirely in-house in Paris, from curriculum to delivery, and takes close to a year to develop. That level of care is what defines the ConceptCore approach. It is not just about who teaches, it is about how the material is structured and how each student actually progresses.
This summer, ConceptCore is also releasing an introduction to Blender masterclass, designed specifically for concept artists who want to integrate 3D into their workflow.
The Concept Core academy
Beyond the online platform, ConceptCore is opening an intensive physical school in the Paris region this September. The first intake is already full, with the next applications opening in October. The program runs from September to May and is built around one goal: bringing artists to the standard expected by the biggest studios in the industry and giving them a real launchpad into their career.
Why this partnership matters
Chromatic artists will contribute to ConceptCore's programs, bringing the realities of AAA production directly into the classroom, from how briefs are structured and iterated, to the design fundamentals that separate strong work from hireable work.
For students, this means learning from people who are actively working at the highest level of the industry. For Chromatic, it means staying close to emerging talent and helping shape the standard we'll eventually be hiring against.
We look forward to sharing more about what this collaboration will produce in the months ahead.
